My name is Allen,
I
had CyberKnife treatment at Stanford on December 17, 2003 on
a tumor located in my sacrum. The tumor was eliminated at that
time and all was thought well. On April 19, 2004 I went in
for
a PET-CT that showed the tumor had come back to the same
area. I was told that CyberKnife treatment was not an option
at this
time. Instead, I will discuss a chemotherapy program with
one of the doctors at Stanford this week. I don’t know if I’ll
be
a candidate for CyberKnife again, but I hope that they can
shrink the tumor and buy some time, each of which I believe
is something
needed to help my chances of CyberKnife treatment. I believe
that CyberKnife will play a major part in the elimination
of cancer and I am glad to have been a patient of this technology
and to have added information that might help future patients.
Sincerely,
Allen
