I have a metastatic tumor of the sacrum which was treated with Cyberknife about 8 weeks ago. According to my follow-up MRI, the tumor has grown considerably. I have been treated with Cyberknife before for three other lesions and it was highly successful. I had never heard of tumors not only not responding at all, but growing threefold after treatment. Can you please shed some light on this? Thank you!

It can happen, but doesn not happen often. If it were only slightly larger one might think that it was just some swelling after treatment, but not when it is three times larger.
